Most businesses don't have a software problem. They have a process problem that software could fix.
The work happens across a dozen spreadsheets, a few subscriptions that half fit, and a lot of manual effort from people who deserve better tools. It holds for a while, and then growth turns those workarounds into a daily drag on the whole team.
I started Thackr to be the person a business can bring that to directly. Someone who will sit down, learn how the place actually runs and build the software that takes the friction out, without the layers of account managers and hand-offs that come with a larger agency.
I care about the commercial side as much as the code. Before I suggest building anything, I want to know what the problem is costing you and what a fix is worth. That keeps projects grounded in results rather than features, and it's why I'm happy to talk you out of work that wouldn't pay off. When we do build, I keep it visible and steady, and I stay around after launch.

Understand the business first
The technology is the easy part. Getting the software right means understanding how your business makes money and where it loses time.

Say the honest thing
If off-the-shelf software would do the job, or a smaller build would get you most of the way, I'll tell you, even when it means less work for me.

Build things that last
I would rather build something solid you can rely on for years than something flashy you'll be fighting with in six months.

I work with businesses in Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester and further afield. Most projects run remotely over calls and screen-sharing, which keeps things efficient, and I'm happy to meet in person when it helps. Thackr doesn't pretend to have offices around the country. It is me, working with clients wherever they are.
